What Our Students Say

I love how open and honest and supportive everyone is. I appreciate the tutor giving strong and clear instruction for the written work and the skills practice. Also that the work set is marked quickly, so I know where I stand.

Georgina

I found a safe space to be myself, I feel comfortable with my classmates and tutor, this is my third year and I don’t remember one day that I wouldn’t have wanted to come to the class. The environment, classmates, tutor, study and exercises (all together) facilitated (and still are facilitating) my personal growth, a better understanding of myself and acceptance. This journey made me flourish. It is helping me to fulfill my purpose, keeping my life balanced, connected with reality and people.

Maria

“The benefit of the creative stuff is just learning different activities that you could do with the children when you’re in the setting or learning what activities they actually like to do, or they prefer to do, that’ll actually help them with their development. You can even use [the kitchen] as different activities to do with the children, so, like making buns with them.”

Did you know!

  • Our kitchens teach students proper nutrition and how to cook for children

About Education & Early Years

If you’re interested in working with children our Education and Early Years department could have the perfect course for you. Teaching combines the experience of staff members with the latest technology, to prepare you for what working in childcare is like.

Teachers come from industry and are able to draw on their experience to demonstrate how the skills being taught apply in the workplace. Using equipment such as VR headsets, students can get an idea of what work environments, such as nurseries, are like. Life-like dolls simulate the needs of babies and teach students how to read signals, care and tend to infants.

If you are seeking alternative methods of study, why not consider an apprenticeship or T Level? Apprenticeships see you employed in a role, earning a wage and working towards a nationally recognised qualification – choose from teaching assistant and early years apprenticeships and start working in your preferred role. Our T Level in Education and Early Years allows you to specialise in either early years or teaching assistant and gives you valuable work experience on placement as well as in-classroom learning.
