Course Information

Introduction

These Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications allow learners to develop their considerable skills to help others to overcome language barriers in everyday situations, such as accessing education, health services, housing, justice, and other public services.

Overview

Studying a community interpreting course will allow you to help others in your local community develop their skills and overcome language barriers that they face in everyday situations; so, if you speak both English and another language, you may be interested in our online community interpreting courses.

Through these courses you will learn all the terminology and techniques involved in interpreting, practise and improve your interpreting skills and work towards gaining a Level 1 or Level 2 nationally recognised qualifications.

There are 2 sittings of this course – that you may wish to enrol to:

  • Classes starting in SEPTEMBER 2024
  • Classes starting in MARCH 2025

The Level 1 course has 2 in takes a year for applicants wishing to apply for 25/26.

Who is this course for?

These qualifications are aimed at learners who have an interest in learning about the role of an interpreter and working with different second language groups in the community.
